We will be flying the drones in the Pavilion Building on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The drone racing is being managed by DieHard RC this year.
Come on out and have fun as a racer and/or as as a spectator!
The FAA does not permit any drone flying outside the fairground buildings because of the local airport being across the street on 179th. Also, our indoor flying requires following the AMA sUAS_Safety_Program, each pilot must have a spotter for safety.
Drone racers will need to pay the gate fee and the drone racing entry fee of $5.00 per pilot at the ticket booth. You'll get a special wristband that identifies you as a drone race pilot.
As mentioned, DieHard RC is managing the event. We have 3 AMA CD's onsite as well which will allow you to join or renew AMA membership during this weekend. Why not join the fun.
Friday will be a day for assembling, tuning and practicing. We will have at least two races on Saturday for each class and the final races on Sunday.
The classes are:
We will have cash prizes for both the Open and Expert classes:
- Open 2-inch (with a 2s battery limit and prop guards required!)
- Expert micro drone (Tiny Whoop)
- Sportsman/Novice micro drone (Tiny Whoop)
Also, we have special awards for the Sportsman/Novice class.
- $125.00 for first
- $75.00 for second

There will be pit area for charging, setup/repair and adjustments.
